i am happy to share that i am a recipient of the 2023/2024 Liberty Live biennial commission through Premiere Stages, for my play-in-progress, Upstage(d), inspired by the history of Asbury Park’s music scene and the storied Upstage Club. The Liberty Live Commission is a unique opportunity to develop and produce new plays that celebrate New Jersey’s rich and diverse history.

i will be contributing to The Ground on Which We Stand, a multi-writer, site-specific performance exploring the history and impact of The James Howe House from 1780 to the present day. The Howe House is the first property in the Township of Montclair, NJ to be owned by an African American and formerly enslaved person, and has been the site of much current controversy. Four performances take place outdoors in Montclair on April 29th and two performances indoors at Luna Stage on April 30th. More information here.
